The first time I was obsessed with BMW, I was in love with Shawn.

The second time, it was Eric*.

Now, I apparently want to marry Alan.
(I keep wanting to call the actor William Russell.  I suppose that only makes sense.)

* And Jason.  Obviously.

ETA: Which is not at all to say that I don't still heart Shawn and Eric to tiny little pieces.  I so do.

In the end, I...kind of hated Retreat.  I'd like to see where the story goes in the rest of the "season" before I go into all the reasons why, but does anyone mind if, for now, I pretend that the entire volume consists only of the cover of "Part Two" and "Harmony Comes to The Nation"? 1) Oh my gosh.  Oh my gosh.  I MUST SEE THIS SOUTH PARK EPISODE.

I have spent nearly two years dimly remembering "Carpe Noctem" as the inferior forerunner to "Billy"*, but I rediscovered how enjoyable it is just a few moments ago.  Boreolanus is disgustingly good at portraying a walking, talking id**, which is played to particularly brilliant heights in this episode.  He may actually be more entertaining here ( Read more... )

Colin Firth double-fist-bumping Jon Stewart made me intensely happy.

Really do go see The King's Speech if you can.  I plonked down the cash for three non-matinee tickets already, and I'd do it again if I could again find a theater playing it and two friends to go with.  [/plug]

My favourite people of the day: Jon Stewart and Dennis Leary.

(Is it just me, or does Leary look just almost exactly like Willem Dafoe these days?  I mean, way more than before, even.)
